Solo Exhibition at Mildura Art CentreLast week I had the priviledge of installing my exhibition 'In the Exodus, I love you more' at Mildura Arts Centre in collaboration with Wallflower Photomedia Gallery. It was truly a joy sharing my world with the diverse and enthusiastic people of Mildura, and it made me think alot about the importance of taking exhibitions to regional areas to connect with audiences who often have a different outlook to the one you get used to within the familiar borders and sometimes closed horizon of these metropolitan art communities. It was a good reminder of what drives me to make art-- to converse and discover new worlds rather than trying to force others to see one's own. I'd like to thank Kristian Haggblom and Mildura Arts Centre for giving me this wonderful opportunity, and also Photography Studies College (Melbourne) and Peter Hatzipavlis at The Printshop for their generous support, Timothy Johannessenwhom I can never thank enough and a special thanks to Pip Milne for her incredible eye behind the curation of this show. The exhibition will be up till 2nd April. Check it out if you are in the neighbourhood.
